About Jose Lara
CEO and Founder of Jose Lara Interiorismo
Jose Lara was born into a family of artisan upholsterers. “As a child, I remember being in my mother’s studio, playing at combining small remnants of fabric with each other”. This has clearly carried through into his projects today, with a refined sense of taste as regards choice of materials, fabrics and finishes.
He studied interior design at Madrid Complutense University and in the New Style College.
Since he set up his studio six years ago, he has earned himself a leading reputation in Spain’s interior design community, developing projects for the residential, restaurant and hotel industries. Several of these projects have received press coverage.
His style is clean, ordered and elegant. His knowledge of materials is extensive and he combines them painstakingly, paying particular attention to lighting. With over 20 years’ professional experience, he is adept at listening to his customers’ needs, analysing and organising them so as to come up with the best proposals.

Marbella Design & Art
Prize for Best Use and Treatment of Colour for "Forms on Fire", a space designed for Ferromagno.
2021
Marbella Design & Art
1st Prize for Best Product Presentation for "Marbella Luxury Suite" for prestigious firm Neolith; a luxury suite combining art and craftsmanship with elegance and subtlety.
